Many Americans worried about the increasing crime rates are quickly turning to the second amendment. By the end of 2020, many states reported a substantial increase in conceal carry permits.
Many states also reported that they have struggled to process the rising number of concealed carry permit applications, which is mainly due to covid-19 restrictions, but still reported a large increase.
In 2020, Ohio alone recorded a 28.4 % increase in CCW permits from 2019, according to the Ohio Attorney General's annual report.
According to the Crime Prevention Research Center, concealed carry permits have increased by 34% from 2016, a trend that is likely to continued into future.
Although, CCW permit data is not yet fully available for 2021, most states that did collect data are already showing a 10% increase in 2021 so far, according to date from the Crime Prevention Research Center.

Most recent data collected from some of America's biggest cities shows that violent crimes has increased by large percent from 2019-2020 and is likely to continue to rise.

New police reform is making it harder for Police Officers to effectively enforce the law to reduce crime. Some policing reform is also releasing the most violent criminals early.
Courts are refusing to prosecute even some violent crimes leaving the Officers and the public vulnerable to random attacks that go unpunished.

I've been a Police Officer since 2015 and I can personally tell you that in 2021, my moral is at the lowest point it's ever been during my entire police career.
I love to help people, which is why I continue to do this job and I believe that everyone should be held accountable for their actions, including Police Officers, but I no longer feel that I can do my job effectively and that I'll be treated fairly.
