Picking the best tactical flashlight for EDC is a tough decision.  With so many great flashlights on the market, what's really the deciding factor for many when choosing the right EDC flashlight?

So, what makes the OLIGHT Warrior 3 a great choice for EDC flashlight?  We took an in-depth look at one of the most popular EDC tactical flashlight's and here are the results.

Price

The Warrior 3 & 3S models were priced much higher than most tactical flashlights, but it's packed with features that can't be found on typical flashlights and are worth the money.

E.g. The Warrior 3 features unique design options such as a titanium a shell and magnetic charging cable which can't be found on most tactical flashlights.

Unboxing

The box contains the manual, a holster, the flashlight (OLIGHT's rechargeable battery included), and the magnetic charging.

Features

The OLIGHT Warrior 3 has some great features that aren't found on most tactical flashlights for EDC.

User Interface

The Warrior 3 has two switches for operation.  The first is the tail switch which has both a tripod design for tail standing and metal contacts for charging.  

Second is the e-switch on the side of the head and it's larger than the tail-cap switch.  On both sides of the switch are four green LED dots that indicate charge and brightness level.

Performance

The Warrior 3 performs really well at night.  The super bright 2300 lumens and 23,000 candela brightness easily lights up a large area and the beam can reach far distance.  

This is a great tactical flashlight to keep around for low light situations such as camping, hiking, outdoor activities, hunting, military, and police.

Olight ORB-217C50 Lithium Ion battery is rechargeable and performs fairly well for it's higher power outputs.  

Depending on the brightness level the max runtime you could get out of the flashlight is about 6 to 7 weeks without having to charge the battery.

The low mode at 220 lumens will get you approximately 180 hours of runtime.  Medium mode at 800 lumens will give you approximately 12 hours of runtime.

The high mode with turbo boost will get you 2600 lumens that drop to 1000 lumens after few minutes for approximately 3 hours of continuous light.

Tactical Bezel For Self Defense

The bezel has sharp teeth edges that are great for self defense, but be carefully sticking the bezel anywhere into your body.

Magnetic Recharging

Olight Warrior 3 package includes an MCC3 magnetic charging cable. They use an specially designed charging system to guarantee the best possible performance and safety.  Magnetic USB charging with the cable takes about 3 hours.

Needs Improvement

Battery will get hot after prolonged use.  This may great for colder weather, but it may get uncomfortably worn during hot summer days. 

Conclusion

The Olight Warrior 3 is a great tactical flashlight packed features such as a rechargeable battery, magnetic charge cable, tactical bezel, easy user interface. and that’s all most people need.  

Although, it's pricy it's worth the money and a great tactical flashlight to get for EDC.
